WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT 48 TEAMS FOR THE 2011 GATLINBURG THANKSGIVING BOWL!!!!
We will be using 3 fields at our facility consisting of Mills Park and Gatlinburg-Pittman High School our fields are with-in walking distance of each other. As always there is no gate or parking charge for spectators!!! Please check our Rules & Regulations page for more details
The date used to determine age is AUGUST 1, 2011
OPEN DIVISIONS
6 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 80lbs. – unlimited line weight. NO KICKING OF ANY KIND. All punts are walked off 25 yards by officials. Ball starts play at the 30 yard line to begin each half and after each score. Teams can have no more than 7 players on the defensive line. LB’s must be at least three yards off the ball and DB’s must be at least four yards off the ball. One coach per team allowed on the field but must remain 10 yards away from all players on the field once huddle is broke.Also once huddle is broke coaches on the field only must remain quiet until ball is snapped. You are out there to coach your team only. If a coach on the field gets in the way of officials and game play or speaks continuously after huddle is broke then he’ll be asked to coach from the sideline.
7 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 90lbs. – unlimited line weight. NO KICKING OF ANY KIND. Punts are walked off 25 yards by officials. Ball starts play at each half and after each score at the 30 yard line. One point for try after touchdown. Teams can have no more than 7 players on the defensive line. LB’s must be at least three yards off the ball, they can blitz but must from three yards deep. DB’s must be at least four yards off the ball, they can blitz but must from four yards deep. One coach per team is allowed on the field. Read the 6 & under division rules (above) for what is expected from the coach on the field.
8 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 105lbs. – unlimited line weight. NO KICKING OF ANY KIND. All punts are walked off 25 yards by officials. Ball starts play at the 30 yard line to begin each half and after each score. One point for try after touchdown. Any defense can be used in this age division. One coach allowed on the field per team. Read the 6 & under rules (above) for how coaches on the field are expected to conduct themselves.
9 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 115lbs. – unlimited line weight. NO COACH ALLOWED ON FIELD. NO KICKING OF ANY KIND. Punts are walked off 25 yards by officials. Ball starts play at the 30 yard line to begin each half and after scores. One point for try after touchdown.
10 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 125lbs. – unlimited line weight. NO COACH ALLOWED ON FIELD. NO KICKING OF ANY KIND. Punts will be walked off 25 yards by officials. Ball starts play at the 30 yard line to begin each half and after scores. One point for try after touchdown.
11 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 135lbs. – unlimited line weight. ALL KICKING IS LIVE. On PAT if the ball is kicked successfully it is worth a total of 2 points, 1 point will be awarded for a successful run or pass on the PAT.
12 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 150lbs. – unlimited line weight. ALL KICKING IS LIVE. On PAT if the ball is kicked successfully it is worth a total of 2 points, 1 point will be awarded for a successful run or pass on the PAT.
13 & UNDER DIVISION: Unlimited weight for all positions. Outside of what rules are mentioned this age division is played under high school rules. Players can be 14 in this age division but their age change must be after August 1. SPECIAL TEAMS ARE LIVE, on PAT 2 points will be awarded for each successful kick, and 1 point will be awarded for a successful run or pass.
13 & UNDER RESTRICTED “Light Weight” DIVISION: There will be a max weight of 130lbs for this division. If you exceed the weight you don’t play. All special teams are live, on PAT 2 points will be awarded for each successful kick, and 1 point awarded for a successful run or pass. All high school rules used except weight restriction.
13 & UNDER RESTRICTED “Heavy Weight” DIVISION: There will be a max weight of 175lbs for this division. If you exceed the weight you don’t play. All special teams are live, on PAT 2 points will be awarded for each successful kick, and 1 point awarded for a successful run or pass. All high school rules used except weight restriction.
*14 & UNDER DIVISION: Unlimited weight for all positions. Outside of what rules are mentioned this age division is played under high school rules. Players can be 15 in this age division but their age change must be after August 1. SPECIAL TEAMS ARE LIVE, on PAT 2 points will be awarded for each successful kick, and 1 point will be awarded for a successful run or pass. ***I have had 2 team interested in this division so far, if we do not have at least 3 teams sign up then we will play this division.
POP WARNER DIVISION
Mity-Mite Division: Due to the National Pop-Warner rule restricting Mity-Mite Travel, we will not have this division.
Jr. Pee-Wee: This division is for ages 8-9-10, with each players weight being between 60-105 pounds , and older but lighter 11 year olds weighing 60-85 pounds. NO KICKING OF ANY KIND. All punts are walked off 25 yards by officials. Ball starts play at the 30 yard line to begin each half and after each score. Teams can have no more than 7 players on the defensive line. LB’s must be at least three yards off the ball and DB’s must be at least four yards off the ball. Pee Wee Division: This division is for ages 9-10-11, with each players weight being between 75-120 pounds. We will also accept Pop Warner’s “Older but Lighter” provision, in the Pee Wee Division a 12
year old player is acceptable, but must weigh between 75-100 pounds. NO COACH ALLOWED ON FIELD. NO KICKING OF ANY KIND. Punts are walked off 25 yards by officials. Ball starts play at the 30 yard line to begin each half and after scores. One point for try after touchdown.
Midget Division: This division is for ages 11-12-13, with each players weight being between 105-160 pounds. We will also accept Pop Warner’s “Older but Lighter” provision, in the Midget Division a 14 year old player is acceptable, but must weigh between 105-140 pounds. There must be proof that the 14 year old player is in 8th grade or below. All special teams are live, on PAT 2 points will be awarded for each successful kick, and 1 point awarded for a successful run or pass.
